    Gray cast iron

    The carbon content of gray cast iron is close to eutectic composition, the crystallization temperature interval is small, the melting point is low, the graphite precipitates during crystallization, and the volume expansion can counteract the shrinkage of some castings, so the total shrinkage is small and the fluidity is good. If the pouring temperature of gray cast iron is 1200 ℃, the helix length of fluidity is 600 ~ 1 200 mm, the total volume shrinkage is between 6.9% and 7.8%.


    Carbon cast steel

    The carbon content of cast steel used in machine parts is 0.25 and 0.45. The casting temperature of cast steel is high (about 1500 ℃, fluidity is poor, helix length is 100mm, shrinkage is large, total volume shrinkage is 12.4mm, easy to inhale and oxidize during melting, so cast steel has poor casting performance, easy to produce sand, insufficient pouring, cold insulation, Shrinkage, cracks, pores, etc.


    Nonferrous metal

    Copper alloy has low melting point and good fluidity. The pouring temperature of tin bronze is 1040 ℃, the length of spiral line is 420 mm, the pouring temperature of silicon brass is 1100 ℃, the length of spiral line is 1000 mm. Copper alloys are easy to be oxidized and some copper alloys (such as lead bronze) are easy to produce density segregation.


    The pouring temperature of aluminum alloy is lower, and the mechanical properties of the aluminum alloy at 680 C 700 ~ 800mm. are easily inhaled and oxidized at high temperature. Therefore, the contact between the insulating alloy liquid and the furnace gas should be paid attention to, and some purification measures should be adopted.
