    The advantages of Laser Welding

     (1) the heat input can be reduced to the lowest requirement, and the metallographic variation range is small, and the deformation caused by heat conduction is also the lowest.

     (2) the welding process parameters of thick single pass welding of 32mm plate have been verified and qualified, which can reduce the time required for thick plate welding and even save the use of filler metal.

     (3) there is no need to use electrodes, and there are no concerns about electrode contamination or damage. And because it is not a contact welding process, the machine wear and deformation can be reduced to the lowest. 

    (4) the laser beam is easy to focus, aligned and guided by optical instruments, can be placed at a suitable distance from the workpiece, and can be redirected between the machines or obstacles around the workpiece. Other welding rules cannot be played because of the above space limitation.

     (5) workpieces may be placed in enclosed spaces (vacuum or internal gas environment under control).

     (6) the laser beam can be focused in a very small area and can weld small parts with similar spacing.

     (7) the weldable materials have a wide range of types and can also connect with each other in various heterogeneous materials. 

    (8) easy to automate high-speed welding, digital or computer-controlled. 

    (9) when welding thin or fine diameter wire, it is not as easy to remelt as arc welding. 

    (10) not affected by magnetic field (arc welding and electron beam welding is easy), can be accurately aligned to weld optical fiber laser welder parts.

    (12) with different physical properties (e. G. Different resistors) can be welded without vacuum or X-ray protection. 

    (13) if welded by perforation, the width ratio of the weld pass to one side may be up to 10:1
